Maiike began in 1999 and has always had two distinct branches. Clothing and soft things. But just one philosophy: I want to perfect the simple things I make. I want the next one to always be better.

Making is very important to me. It informs and develops my design. The visual and tactile textures of the materials used is integral to the success of each piece. The impulse to touch, the feeling of when something is worn and the emotional response to the colours are the things I’m always trying to consider when working in my studio.

Maiike woollen toys and quilts are born from woollen knits carefully sourced from secondhand shops. The toys have metamorphosed into many shapes and quilts into various sizes and finishings over the years. But the most important thing is that each one brings a little smile to my face before it leaves the studio.

Maiike is located in Melbourne, Australia. We ship within Australia and internationally. Please email us at info@maiike.com if you'd like any further information.

We ship world wide and offer different rates according to the delivery address and size of the package.

When items are in stock they ship on the working day following payment clearance. Items are shipped using Australia Post standard postage. Most parcels arrive within five working days. We will always advise if we expect any delay, however we cannot guarantee time frames for international shipping as our providers do not have direct control over all parts of the international delivery chain. We will provide a tracking number where possible. If a package is too large then a courier service may be used. In this situation a daytime address may be required to receive the goods.

Payment Security

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Your credit card will be charged in Australian dollars and processed through independent payment gateways. At no time does Maiike Store hold your credit card details. If you are purchasing from outside Australia you will be responsible for any customs or other duty payable on your goods when they arrive at their destination.
