Windcheater - Pale Rising Sun

I have made the Pale Rising Sun sweat top form 100% cotton fleecy remnants and recycled garments.  I placed each segment is on a different grain to the adjoining segments, creating texture and chaos for the eye.  The two front circles hide two shallow pockets.  The ribs are all top stitched in place by hand, creating a strong dotted line but also ensuring that the openings aren't overstretched.  Hand stitching is a way of encouraging everything into place rather than forcing it.  The pattern was drafted especially for this piece and is approximately a size 14 women's.  64cm across chest from underarm.  58cm length shoulder to hem.

The Pale Rising Sun wind cheater took approximately 12 hrs to complete.
